I know this sounds cliche but opening your heart is more than just a statement it is an action. When I think about opening my heart not just to God but to people, I think that the thing that scares me the most is letting people see who I am inside because if they don't like it, well I can't change it because it's who I am.But I have come to realize that if I surrender the fear and open up it can lead to some deep relationships. it also takes away the stress. God already knows who I am better than I do so opening up to him is intimate because I am letting him in and he loves me in-spite of me. If we could do that with people what a better place this would be. We would not be competing with each we would have such compassion that we would compliment each other as we were created to do. I am so very thankful for all Jesus is to me and for the people God has blessed me with in my life, and those still to come in this life. We were made to love and be loved. God is love and He will love through us. I may not have what I think I want , but I know I have everything I need. I pray that God gives us all the courage to open our hearts to Him and to the people around us so we all can experience the healing we can only get from God and those around us who can heal with us. Paul was on to something when he said And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. God's love is truly life. Martha Munizzi sang it best when she sang "I can only imagine how much you love me my God is a great God!" But Michael Tait said it well when he said "Love never fails, Love always wins." If we could focus on God's love then perhaps maybe we could love one another as Jesus told we should. Lets not judge each by our upbringing, prejudices, or scars. We are all fighting a battle together let us rejoice in our scars because our scars say we have made it through and live to tell about it. We can't win if we don't come together. God is our judge and He saw fit to give us undeserved favor so why can't we offer what we have been given so freely. God is unconditional towards so that we can give the gift to others. So be thankful not just on thanksgiving but everyday of your life. Lets cherish the time we have, and enjoy each other. Let us love and be loved as God desires for us and through us.
