Courage To Move Forward

"I have learned that many can claim to be Christian companies but the world influences them to make ungodly choices" -Alane Haynes-
While this statement is true we have all learned it's meaning in one way or another. Because some companies choose to deceive their clients. They create unnecessary brokenness in innocent hearts. This is such a story.
Alane Haynes started writing after taking a Creative Writing class in high school. She had a prophetic dream and then began writing her book Moses-Shocked in the Desert.
Alane found Tate Publishing in 2014 while searching for a publisher online. She liked the idea of a Christian company accepting new authors. Her first investment was $3,990 described as a retainer fee. Alane then purchased the Publisher for Life service for an additional $1,200. The Publisher for Life service became available on December 26, 2016. This service offered to publish all the authors other books for free. It also included Book trailer/ads, a Facebook page,a Website, and Speakers Bureau. Alane feels she did not receive what she paid for. She has also not received any royalties. Alane did not receive reports of ads placed. She also feels they failed at marketing and PR for book signings.
Alane is currently republishing her books. She is also publishing a study guide called Moses, and Called Unto His Presence.
When asked if she could say anything to the Tates. Here is how she answered.
"I really believed in your company and was so pleased at the beginning. I am saddened by what happened to your company, and to all of the authors that were in contract with your company. I believe it was greed, as the love of money is the root of all evil and the spirit of mammon is so strongly entrenched in the world. I know that God will work all this for good and that He is my source. I do not wish you ill. I have had to let go of a lot of anger and feelings of betrayal and hurt, and righteous indignation when I did not receive the customer service I expected, nor the delivery of goods that were promised. I hope and pray that you have a chance to make things right for those that trusted in you."
Alane has learned alot about publishing and marketing. She has also learned that to many companies claim to be Christian; However the world influences them to make ungodly choices. She has moved forward by republishing her work. Alane is letting go of what happened with Tate Publishing. Her experiences left a bitter taste in her mouth for months. Alane struggled with panic, anger, and fear dealing with the aftermath of the situation(retrieving files, figuring out how to republish). Alane is healing. I would like to end this article with her own words.
" I am healing from this traumatic experience by moving forward. God is opening the doors that He wants opened and I am walking through them. He is Lord of all and He will be glorified through this!"
We should all ask God's help to move on as Alane has done.
