I just finished watching To Joey, With Love (The Joey Feek Story). I am inspired by how she smiled through everything. Joey smiled when they found out their baby had downs syndrome. Later she smiled when the cancer diagnosis came. Joey praised God in the midst of the storm she was in. I only hope that like Joey we can praise God and find joy in the midst of life's storms. Rory and Joey Feek's story is both moving and heart wrenching. I found myself wanting to cry but I couldn't. Yes I was deeply saddened about everything she went through. However every time I saw Joey smile I could not help but smile too. I pray we all learn the lessons that God through Joey Feek has taught us. Through Christ we can live life to the fullest and with joy. Our circumstances do change our God. Because God is good life is good. The joy of the Lord is truly our strength. God has the final word in our lives and we must accept it no matter what the outcome. I need met Rory or Joey Feek but they have left a mark on my heart. I hope that my life will be inspirational and shine the love of God too. This what we are all created for. We are created to the shine the light and show the way. To the family of Joey Feek: I pray that God continue to be with you. Grief is something that stays with us over time. Although some healing comes you will always miss Joey.
I pray that you know on those days when you miss her; God is feeling your pain right along side you. We know we do not grieve as the world does. But the loss in our hearts remains heavy. Thank you for sharing your heart and the light that God gave you through the movie. I hope all who see it are inspired to live life the way God intended.
