As February approaches I want to ponder some thoughts. As a woman I have always dreamed of getting my first love letter. I daydreamed about a romance that would melt me to the core. But I failed to realize one very important fact. I have a love beyond measure that surpasses any other I may ever know. Yes, I am talking about the love of God. God's love has been with us this whole time. He first showed us His love by sending His son to take our place. He continued to show us His love by giving us grace each day. God has written us some powerful words. Jeremiah 1:5 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)5 “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you; before you were born, I separated you for myself. I have appointed you to be a prophet to the nations.” Psalm 139:17-18 New Living Translation (NLT)17 How precious are your thoughts about me,[a] O God. They cannot be numbered!18 I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me! We have the love we have been longing for. God is crazy about us. God's love is unconditional. It is because He loved us we can love others. So next time you feel lonely remember you are never alone. Next time you get tempted to complain about the lack of romance in your life. Remember God has been romancing you since the day you were born. Let God love you because no one can love you like God can. All things happen in God's time. So when He does bring the one into your life you will be able to love them because you know what true love is. #unconditionallove
