I have always been a question asker. I am naturally inquisitive.

Questions help us arrive at answers. However, when it came to God. I somehow was taught to interpret questions as doubting. This is a dangerous thing to do because it causes one to think when they ask a question they are exhibiting doubt. The bible says if you lack wisdom ask of God. God personally invited us to ask questions. This is not to be confused with doubt or questioning God when He asks you to do something. We are allowed to ask God is this how you work? or Why did this happen? We have to recognize we may not receive an answer, but we can and should ask questions. God is not afraid that we will have a question that He can't answer. Because there is no question that God can't answer. However, we don't have to feel guilty about asking questions. God's not surprised by what is in our hearts. We must understand, however, that the answer one seeks may not be the answer one receives. This is why it is equally important not to have a preconceived notion of the answer we would like. Asking questions is good. But we have to allow God to answer without pretense and preconceived notions.

Asking questions is not doubting God.

So what question do you have for God today?

Will you allow God to answer without pretense?
