To my single and in-relationship friends. I wanted to share some insights that have and continue to help me on this journey of singleness. First, life does not stop because one is single. It does not begin because one is married. Life has already begun when Adonai gave us breath the day we were born.
So continue the journey, focusing on becoming the person that Adonai wants you to be. I am reading a book called "Lady in Waiting by Jackie Kendall & Debby Jones." What I like about this book is that it is not focused on your future spouse. It is focused on becoming the best you while waiting for Adonai to provide your spouse. Do not make marriage an idol. Keep your focus on Adonai and keep working.
For those in a relationship, make your choice wisely. Make sure you hear from Adonai and follow His plan for your life. Hearing Adonai is crucial because He will not tell someone else His plan for your life before He tells you. Do not be pressured into marriage by others. We have to be strong enough to know that when Adonai tells us to go right and everyone else is trying to convince us to go left, we have heard Adonai's voice and will be obedient to Him. Whom you marry will be the second-most important choice you will make in life, and it will impact how Adonai uses your life. You alone have to live with the choice that you make. You alone have to live with whomever you choose. Adonai knows you better than you know yourself. Trust Him with your heart and decisions. The scriptures say in Mark 10:7-9, "For this reason, a man should leave his father and mother and be united with his wife, and the two are to become one flesh. [a] Thus they are no longer two, but one. 9 So then, no one should break apart what God has joined together." (CJB Biblegateway.com)
Follow Adonai's plan, not your own. I know loneliness and other voices shout at us on a daily basis.
Some days are so lonely, all you can do is cry. These are the toughest days of singleness. However, The brighter days outnumber the tough ones. Hang in there; Adonai is writing your love story and mine. Above all else, "Fiat Justicia Et Pereat Mundus." Do the right thing, come what may. We answer to Adonai, at the end of the day, we are accountable to Him for the decisions we make. Let's choose to be obedient and listen to the One (Adonai), who knows whom and what we need better than we do. We are not alone. We have never been alone, and we will never be alone!!!!
The song below is called, " For Those Who Wait by Fireflight" I hope it encourages you today
